“PRAIA DO AREIÃO” is the popular name for the traditional Pirapora Beach, a natural landscape easily accessible (close to the city center), which takes on new shapes, contours, size, and renewed sands with each flood season of the São Francisco River – between November and February. It is considered the most famous river beach in Minas Gerais. In addition to kiosks and “Instagrammable” spots, it offers space and conditions ideal for practicing a variety of sports, including canoeing, jet skiing, peteca, soccer, beach volleyball, footvolley, and beach tennis.
