PIRAPORA FLUVIAL POLICE STATION

The PIRAPORA FLUVIAL POLICE STATION is the Navy unit that serves the municipality and hundreds of municipalities in the North, Northwest, and Northeast regions. It is located at 1 Almirante Tamandaré Square, in the city center, along the banks of the São Francisco River. The responsibilities of the Navy Police Station include: guiding, coordinating, and controlling navigation activities; certifying amateur and professional navigators; overseeing safety in waterway traffic to ensure the protection of human life; and preventing water pollution.
